LONGJOHN SHORTSILVER (M3899)

Avast, ye maties... meet Longjohn Shortsilver, the Pirate. He's called "Longjohn" because of his underwear and he's called "Shortsilver" because he's always short of cash.

This Rogue is about 15 inches tall, has a movable mouth and removabe clothing. He comes with an arm rod that may be attached to either hand or hook.

POLICE OFFICER 'CY' WREN (M2551)

Meet Police Officer Cyrus ‘Cy’ Wren whose proficiency with the radar gun has earned him the nickname ‘Scan Man.’ In fact, Cy loves using his radar gun to check the speed of anything that moves. The slowest thing he’s clocked so far is a turtle. The fastest? A sneeze!

SMOULDER THE DRAGON (M3908)

No matter how hard Smoulder tries to breath fire, he is unable to ignite even the tiniest spark. The best he can do is hot breath, tiny smoke rings and an occasional mouthful of ashes. Smoulder is about 13 inches tall and is very well equipped with wings, large eyes and ears, a pair of antennae and a detachable arm rod.

RORY THE LION (M2568)

Unable to develop any natural leadership abilities, Rory instead became "King of the Crosswords" by successfully completing the Daily Crossword Puzzle in the Jungle Gazette 57 times in a row. He also became slightly near-sighted and now needs to be fitted with new reading glasses. Rory is around 15 inches tall and comes with a detachable arm rod.

STRIPES THE TIGER (M2569)

His actual name is "Sandy" because he was born with fur the color of orange sand... and no stripes. He tells people that to fit in with his friends in the neighborhood, he had to work hard to earn every stripe. Actually what he had to do was to paint the stripes on. He started with his mom's eye-liner and mascara but that washed off every time he went fishing at the river. Now he uses a permanent dry marker pen with good results. BANANAS THE CHIMP (M3907)

With a name like Bancock Anapolis Chimpanzee, is it no wonder that he would just like to be called "Bananas?" Besides, that fruit is his favorite vegetable, starch, source of protein and dessert all rolled into one. Bananas is about 15 inches tall and comes with a detachable arm rod.

MERMAID (M3896)

Shelly Seashore is a very beautiful mermaid but that has nothing to do with her real talents. Shelly can swim faster and sing louder than any other mermaid in school (Monterey Elementary Aquarium). She can also say her name three times fast!

CONSTRUCTION WORKER (M2555)

Who ever heard of a Construction Worker with the nickname ‘Goldilocks’?  Harry I. Beamer here, blames the loss of his beautiful golden mane on years of wearing his hard hat too tight.

MEGAN POMPPOMOVICH CHEERLEADER (M2554)

“Give me an ‘S’... give me an ‘Z’...give me a ‘Q’ and give me a ‘P’... Put them all together and they spell SZQP... yea team.” So as a Cheerleader, what Megan Pompomovich lacks in spelling skills she more than makes up for in volume. Stadium workers even had to soundproof the concession stand after Megan’s enthusiastic cheers drowned out customer’s orders.

CHEF 'AL' DENTE (M2553)

This is the ‘world famous’ and ‘acclaimed’ Chef ‘Al’ Dente (Noodles to his friends). Al once won a Halloween costume contest by wearing a suit made entirely of pasta.

FIRE CHIEF WALTER BLAZE (M2552)

Chief Blaze is a community hero.  Despite a severe allergy to cats and a remarkable fear of heights, Walter holds the world record for the most kittens rescued from a tree. When fighting a fire, look for Walter at the hook and ladder truck (the one with the long extension ladder). He will be the firefighter, with both feet on the ground, who is making the ladder go up and down.

SURGEON SUSAN CHARTWELL (M2550)

Introducing Dr. Susan Chartwell.  Susan is much less precise with a pen (they call her ‘Scribbles’ in the OR) than with a scalpel. Her signature is often mistaken for an EKG.

COWGIRL CANDY DELIGHT (M2557)

This is Candy Delight, an ex-Showgirl from Las Vegas. She said that she would fill you in on the rest of the story as soon as you purchase her. And remember... what happens at The Puppet Seller stays at The Puppet Seller!

BALLERINA (M3895)

Tina Prima here is a Half-body Hand Puppet but since a Ballerina without legs would not be as expressive, we’ve gone ahead and added a pair. Of course she’s now 23 inches tall instead of the customary 15 inches but she does come with the same movable mouth and an arm rod that may be attached to either hand. Tina’s nickname is ‘Twinkle Toes’ and she prepares for her dizzying routines by spinning around rapidly for hours on the stools at the local ice cream parlor.

KING CASTGLEHOFF IV (M3890)

This is His Majesty King Carl Castlehoff IV, Commander of the Armies of Brinkingham, Absolute Ruler of the Colonies of Squidmire, Lord of the Oceanic Fleet, Chairman of the Board of Golath Department Stores and Beloved Leader of Everyone and Everything in the Kingdom of Melissa. Besides the famous "Battle of Bristolwax" (which he missed due to a traffic tie-up), King Carl is most noted for his feat of stacking all 32 of his crowns on his head at one time. His "crowning achievement" indeed.

QUEEN CARLOTTA (M3891)

It is said that, in the "Legends of Yore" (soon to be released in paperback) Queen Carlotta Castlehoff, beloved wife of King Carl and Nurturing Mother of Princess Catherine, once heard a rumor that her husband "was not the sharpest sword in the sheath." Outraged, she immediately called for a news conference in which she declared herself to be the real "power behind the throne" and that she would assume her royal position at the head of the round table as soon as she could find where that was.

PRINCESS CATHERINE (M3892)

Unlike other princesses, such as her distant cousin Rapunzel, Princess Catherine Castlehoff absolutely loves living in a tower. She says the views are "fabulous" and the cell phone reception is excellent. Now if they could just do something about the 750 stairs down to the bathroom.

KNIGHT (M3893)

Sir Lincoln Joustalot is the last in a long line of Joustalots, beginning with his great, great, great, grandfather Sir Cadillac Joustalot. All of the Joustalots, as their surname implies, were noted for their jousting skills and deeds. All except Sir Lincoln, that is. Ever since he was a teenager he has felt that poking people with a long stick while riding a horse was not only silly but also dangerous. Instead, he has decided to make a new career as a world swimming champion. But every time he practices swimming in the moat, they have to haul him out with a block and tackle. Perhaps he would do better if he tired it without his armor on?

PATTY (302C)

Patty has lots of friends at school and does well with her studies but likes recess most of all.

If you are into video games than Pete here is your man. His favorite games are Guitar Hero and all of the Halo series as well as The Legend of Zelda. If you haven’t guessed yet, Pete has an Xbox 360, a Playstation 3 and a Nintendo WII in his bedroom.

JENNY (301C)

Jenny has several favorite subjects in school. They are (in order of priority):

Jenny is around 17 inches tall and doesn’t move her arms but does move her mouth... big time! Actually that makes her easy to operate by any age puppeteer. JOEY (300H)

Joey is a whiz.  Yes, he’s smart and a good student, but that’s not what we’re talking about. He got these new roller skates... you know, the old fashioned kind with 4 wheels... and that was just about the only time he has stood still since. The skates are really nice... you could see them if he weren’t a Half-body Hand Puppet (the skates are on the wrong half).

DAD (304A)

Dad is now what you call a ‘stay-at-home’ dad. Yes, he still wears that suit because he thinks it looks better than the jeans and apron he wears around the house. Dad is a good cook and a great housekeeper too.

MOM (305C)

Mom got tired of being what she called a “Household Engineer” which she described as doing the fairly thankless job of cooking, cleaning and school taxi driver.

So she started her own pizza business which she loves except for the fact that she now has to cook and clean more than ever.

She says the ‘taxi’ part is what keeps her going. When she delivers a pizza it’s just like dropping a youngster off at school... except that now she gets tips.

GRANDPA (307A)

Grandpa retired from being Manager of the local Bank. His retirement had absolutely nothing to do with the bank being closed down for insufficient funds the next day.

Grandpa told the head office that he was opposed to their new advertising campaign where a customer would get a new toaster with every deposit. Mrs. Farley’s 3rd Grade class took home 35 toasters the first day of their school savings program... and 35 more toasters for their next deposits a week later. Oops.  Well, it wasn’t long before the bank was... um... toast!

Grandma will tell you that she was a simple ‘housewife’ in her earlier days.  What she won’t tell you is that she was living on a farm and ran the entire operation including milking the cows, feeding the chickens and plowing the fields. Now that she’s retired, she will admit that the local supermarket is as close as she cares to get to a farm, dairy or even a roadside vegetable stand.

DOCTOR BILL (433H)

The first thing that Doctor Bill tells his patients is to call him “Bill the Doctor” because no one wants to see a real “Doctor bill.” Ha, ha. Then he gives them a flu shot.

DOCTOR ISABELL (434C)

We had wanted to introduce you to Nurse Isabell and tell you what a wonderful person she is. But now we can’t. Oh, she’s still a wonderful person... it’s just that she isn’t a nurse any longer. She completed advanced training at Medical School and is now both a wonderful person and a wonderful doctor too.

Doctor Isabell is around 17 inches in height and is made of durable surface washable fabrics. She is very easy to operate with a large movable mouth but her arms cannot be moved from within. Also available as Afro (434A) and Hispanic (434H).

FIREMAN FRED (436A)

Fireman Fred is famous for his hot Firehouse Chili. The most amazing thing about it is that it is self-cooking. The secret ingrediants are so hot that no heating is necessary. People who have sampled it say that it takes your breath away. Our question is: Have they said anything else after that... ever?

Fred is almost 18 inches tall and constructed of sturdy durable fabrics that are surface washable and his easy-to-work wide mouth helps him to breathe better after a lunch of his own chili. Also available as Caucasian (436C) and Hispanic (436H).

OFFICER MIKE (435C)

Officer Mike is funny. He loves to tell funny stories and jokes, even while he is writing you a parking ticket. He says that when he gives you that ticket for speeding, if you are having a good time it won’t nearly be as painful. His supervisor, Sgt. Stern isn’t that convinced about it being a good idea. “We don’t want people to get tickets... we don’t want it to be fun.” he says. You can tell by the expression on his face, Officer Mike is not swayed in the least.

REFEREE ROGER (430C)

Referee Roger is a nice person to have around. How many times have you been undecided about something and needed an outside opinion? Who really got the last chair when the music stopped? Ask Roger. Who gets to take back the last checkers move? Ask Roger. Who has to take the dog out for a ‘walk’ when American Idol is on TV? Don’t ask Roger because he’s watching American Idol and it would be rude to interrupt.

Oh, well. Roger tries to be a good referee but no one is perfect. Roger is around 17 inches tall and constructed of durable surface washable fabrics. He has a movable mouth and wears glasses in order to see things clearly. Allso available as Afro (430A) and Hispanic (430H).

COWGIRL CINDY (474)

Cowgirl Cindy is her name and she is a bit unhappy with it. She loves to ride horses... not cows. But if she changes her name to Horsegirl Cindy, it sounds even worse... as if she were part horse or something. Cindy is not part horse. She is a 100% Puppet Girl with a 200% smile.

COWBOY DUSTY (475)

This dusty cowboy is named Cowboy Dusty. He stands nearly 18 inches tall from the tips of his boots to the top of his hat. Wait.  No boots? Oh, yes... Dusty is a Half-body puppet and boots would be on the other half (which we don’t sell because that half of Half-body puppets is simply not in demand). Dusty is a pretty sharp looking cowboy, from his hat to his neat sideburns to his kerchief to his vest to his spurs (oops... no spurs on this half).

ENGINEER EDDY (432)

Engineer Eddy runs 2 trains at the same time. One is a passenger trains and the other is a freight train. How does he do it, you ask? It’s easy, he says. All he has to do is set the switches correctly so that neither of them get on the same track and hit each other. If it does happen, then both of the trains usually end up on the floor where he has to pick them up and glue them back together again.

Eddy is around 17 inches tall and is constructed of sturdy durable fabrics that are surface washable. His arms are not movable but his mouth is.  All Aboard!

CHEF HENRI (431)

Le chef Henri est célèbre dans tous les sud de la France pour son sandwich délicieux à hot-dog servi avec de la sauce unique à chocolat-moutarde.

Or, if you prefer English: Chef Henri is famous throughout the south of France for his delicious hot dog sandwich served with a unique chocolate-mustard sauce.

THE PRINCESS (471)

Once upon a time, in a far and distant kingdom, there lived a beautiful Princess. Unfortunately this is not she. The Princess we have was born in New Jersey and works for one of those theme restaurants where they serve food without silverware and they have horses running around everywhere. Her job is to sit on the small throne next to the big throne and smile when the spotlight shines on her. And smile she does.  Constantly.

THE PRINCE (472)

This is The Prince. He is here because most people feel that you can’t have a Princess without a Prince. It’s his job to rescue the Princess whenever she gets herself into a mess. Most recently he brought her fresh batteries when her cell phone went dead. And then there was the time she bought a scarf but the clerk failed to remove the security tag and she was arrested for shoplifting. He brought her a book to read while she was in jail.

This stalwart lad stands around 17 inches tall and is built out of sturdy durable fabrics that are surface washable. His arms are not movable but his mouth is.

THE WIZARD (473)

This is The Wizard known around the kingdom as “The Wiz.” People do tend to shy away from him as they are uncertain if he does good or evil magic. Setting the record straight, THIS WIZARD DOES NOT DO EVIL MAGIC. Unfortunately he hasn’t figured out yet how to do good magic either. There is a big book in the Castle Library titled “MAGIC FOR DUMMIES” but he is unable to read it since he lost his glasses. In the meantime he bought a Magic Set from the local toy story and is doing a good job of impressing people with that.

The Wizard is 18+ inches tall and made out of durable sturdy fabrics that are surface washable. He has an easy-to-work movable mouth.

THE MONSTER (476)

The Monster here is looking for work.  It’s not because there are no job offerings for monsters... Hollywood has lots of openings in this department. The problem is that normal monster work such as terrorizing villagers and haunting mansions is not exactly in our Monster’s field of expertise. Our Monster graduated form the Culinary Institute with a degree in School Cafeteria Dietary Management. On the first day of his last job, everyone ran away screaming and he hasn’t had a job offer since.
